WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program that deliberately attempts to optimize a person's physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains: Cardiovascular/Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

HOW IS THIS ACCOMPLISHED?

...through "constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement." In other words, every workout is different; you get a lot done in a short amount of time, and are moving in a way that mimics activities of daily living.

WHAT IS THE CROSSFIT METHOD?
Diet, Metabolic Conditioning, Gymnastics, Weightlifting and throwing, and Sport. A CrossFit gym looks nothing like a typical gym. We don't have machines…we have jump ropes, free weights, boxes for jumping, gymnastics rings and bars for pulling and dipping, and many other fun tools to work with.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL WOD?

There isn't one–every day's workout is different–we specialize in not specializing! I have to say I have never (ever) heard a CrossFitter say anything that remotely resembles "this is getting boring."

Warm Up/Skill Building, WOD, Cool Down.

IS THIS FOR ME?

Absolutely! Every workout can be scaled to accommodate your fitness level. We will start you wherever you're at! The only requirements are to come with a positive attitude, be ready to sweat a lot, and be willing to put forth your best effort!
